Installation Guide:

  1. Download Magento module.
  2. Unzip the contents and follow below process to place directories.
  3. Copy ‘kayakoApi’ folder from ‘module_kayako/lib’ and paste it in your ‘magento_folder/lib’.
  4. Copy ‘Kayako’ folder from ‘module_kayako/app/code/community’ and paste it in your ‘magento_folder/app/code/community’.
  5. Copy ‘Kayako_Client.xml’ from ‘module_kayako/app/etc/modules’ and paste it in your ‘magento_folder/app/etc/modules’.
  6. Copy ‘client.xml’ from ‘module_kayako/app/design/frontend/default/default/layout’ and paste it in your ‘magento_folder/app/design/frontend/base/default/layout’.
  7. Copy ‘client’ folder from ‘module_kayako/app/design/frontend/base/default/template’ and paste it in your ‘magento_folder/app/design/frontend/default/default/template’.
  8. Module is successfully installed in your magento website. To take effect on website, select and 'Disable' all cache types (under System > Cache Management of Magento Admin panel) and after that ‘Flush Magento Cache’ to clear the existing cache.
  9. Go to ‘System/Configuration’ in Admin panel of your magento website. Here you can see a tab named ‘KAYAKO CONFIGURATION’. Click on settings link under it.
  10. In case you see ‘Page not found’ error, after clicking on settings tab, then please logout from your admin panel and try after logging in.
  11. Go to 'System -> Cache Management' and refresh the cache.
  12. Configure Kayako module through the 'System -> Configuration' menu in the Magento admin panel.
  13. Enter your Kayako Helpdesk API details under 'settings tab' (Copy API Details from your Helpdesk installation > Rest API > Settings).
  1. Now go to frontend panel. You can see the installed module with heading 'SUPPORT' in left sidebar after login.

How to Use:

Submit Ticket:

  1. Click on ‘Submit a Ticket’ link and select your department and click on ‘Next’.

  1. Now you will see the screen having sections ‘General Information’ and ‘Message Details’. Please provide the relevant information here and click on submit.

  1. Now your ticket is submitted with your provided details and you can see the ticket details in next screen.

View Ticket:

  1. Click on ‘View Tickets’ link. Here you can see the list of tickets submitted by you.

  1. Click on any ticket subject (highlighted in blue color) to view its details.
  2. Now you can see ticket details along with its status, priority along with the list of messages sent by you and replies you got from the staff of helpdesk.

Update Status and Priority:

To change the status and priority, select the appropriate value shown in drop down boxes for both status and priority respectively. Once you select the desired value, please click on update to save the updated ticket details.

Post Reply:

To follow up with your ticket, you can post your reply for it. Click on ‘Post Reply’ and you will see a message area along with submit button.
Enter your message in given area and click on submit to post your reply.
