Fatal errors during Kayako login (via link in Jira)

Description
If someone follows a Kayako link in Jira they are redirected to Kayako and requested to login (unless thay already are).
If they do so they'll get a fatal error:"Fatal error: Call to a member function getResponseCode() on a non-object in /var/www/__apps/jira/library/JIRA/class.SWIFT_JIRABridge.php on line 1408"
